What
is the OCMA?
OKLAHOMA COMMUNICATIONS MANAGERS ASSOCIATION is open to any corporation,
partnership or other business association which (1) employs one or more
individuals assigned to any telecommunications matters; (2) is a nationwide
or major regional user of telecommunications equipment; (3) is a common
carrier or a manufacturer or supplier of telephone equipment or services,
or (4) is a trade association or consultant involved in the telecommunication
industry.
The purpose of the OCMA is:
1. To provide a means whereby major users of telecommunications and services
can exchange information, experience, and concepts to the mutual benefit
of the member companies and their representatives.
2. To encourage technological research and development in the field of
telecommunications by means of seminars, conferences, newsletters and
special reports.
3. Present, where possible and practical, a unified position on matters
of all telecommunications policy, which affects or could affect OCMAs
membership, to include regulatory matters.
4. To actively promote, support, and encourage the maintenance and development
of a viable, and dynamic domestic and international telecommunication
capability to meet the varying requirement of membership.
OCMA has intent to provide statewide representation for the telecommunications
industry
OCMA meetings:
OCMA meets on the second Wednesday of every month, except December. The
December Meeting is a banquet held in the evening, and each member is
encouraged to bring his/her spouse/significant other.
